Our neighbor is a CPS working and has been sent to San Angelo to help interview the children. She isn’t the only one being sent, CPS as well as APS workers are being brought in from around the state as well as other states.
Despite many news reports that the state is not being civilized with the women and children of Zion Ranch, they really are. Workers have been given a very strict dress code that is sensitive to these individuals beliefs, including not wearing red (they feel this is the color of the devil), not wearing low-cut things, not wearing bright colors as well as many other changes to their every day dress code.
The state is doing it’s best to be sensitive to these children’s upbringing, so they didn’t bring in giant flat screen televisions blaring Sponge Bob or even Dora (as they did after Katrina). They aren’t forcing them to wear shorts, or change their appearance in anyway.
The state is doing the best they can, they are handling this situation with the exact same rules and regulations that they would handle any case with such allegations.
Because of their beliefs the children are identifying several women as their mothers which of course makes it difficult for the state to identify who they belong to.
I am sure you are already but since we are in Texas it weighs heavily on our families heart but please pray over this situation.
Please pray that the men of Zion Ranch come forward, not to take blame, but to help ease the burden from their wives shoulders due to the gravity of this situation. Please pray for these children who are too young to fully grasp what is going on, and all children for that matter. Pray for the judge in San Angelo who has never presided over a case to this magnitude. Please pray for guidance from the government as to whether or not this trial should be moved to a larger city. Please pray that Godly decisions would be made. Please pray that the media wont highlight the negative, but rather facts. Pray for the strength, wisdom, and guidance of every single one of these attorneys that are representing the children (each child has their own attorney so that means 400+ attorneys). Pray for the moms attorneys, and Zion Ranch’s as well.
God is going to do something powerful thru this, he always does so we need to trust in him!

It’s all such a mess, huh? Praying….
It is really scary. My heart breaks for the children especially. But one day on the news I heard them talking about one Mom’s please because her child had severe allergies. Sent shudders down my spine.
I too hope the media handles this right as well as the judicial system.
